Season Update – Wednesday, August 10, 2016

Today’s forecast is for another absolutely beautiful day of hand picking and spectacular views from the barn porch.  It’s going to be another beautiful day in Greenfield.

We continue to harvest blueberries for fresh packing into 10 lb boxes.  If you have not yet reserved your boxes, you can do so here, and we will have them ready for you when you arrive.   We provide the freshest product possible, providing our customers with blueberries that have been harvested within 24 hours.  We harvest in the morning, immediately chill your blueberries. and send you an e-mail letting you know you can pick them up the next day. The U-Pick field customers have been raving about this year’s crop.  It’s plentiful and some patches of the wild blueberries are HUGE.  The field will be open all of this week (except Sunday) from sun up to sundown.

Today we will see a large number of boxes leave our farm to support a local school fundraiser for a trip to Washington D.C.  This fundraiser will assist a group of young people with the incredible opportunity to learn and see some of the rich history of this great nation.  We love playing a small part in this experience!

Yesterday we received this message from a long-time customer: “Denise, I picked up the two boxes on the 8th but the fresh taste was out of this world!!! I would very much like another two boxes, if that’s possible. This year’s crop is exceptional.” Carrie B.
